Southeast Georgia Health System Hires Christy Jordan as Chief Executive Officer

In her role as CEO, Christy will be responsible for the overall vitality of the Health System as its representative to the community, industry groups, key stakeholders, and local and national governments. She will be responsible for leading, communicating, and evaluating all elements of the Health System’s strategic and operational functions, while also being involved in the local community, in addition to regional, state, and national healthcare organizations, to advocate and influence on behalf of populations served by Southeast Georgia Health System. Christy will report directly to the Board of Directors.
Christy has been with Southeast Georgia Health System for 13 years, beginning as Director of Risk Management & Assistant General Counsel and advancing to Chief Legal Officer. She has served as Interim President and CEO since June 2025. Earlier in her career, Christy was an attorney for healthcare practices at firms including Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, Epstein Becker & Green, and Jones Day. Christy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and a Doctor of Law from the University of Georgia School of Law.
