Magnolia Regional Health Center Hires Dana Murphy as Chief Nursing Officer
Magnolia Regional Health Center, a community-owned healthcare provider serving Corinth and surrounding areas since 1965, has appointed Dana Murphy as Chief Nursing Officer. MRHC partnered with Buffkin / Baker on the executive search.
In her role as CNO, Dana will lead major patient care service teams across the system, including three acute care units, the Medical Intensive Care Unit, and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. She will be responsible for executing MRHC’S vision to uphold the highest standards of excellence, patient care, and employee engagement. Dana will work in close partnership with the CMO and Chief Hospitalist to establish and maintain standards that ensure excellent patient care, every day in every way. Dana will report to the CEO, Jim Hobson.
Dana joins MRHC from DCH Health System, where she spent 27 years in progressive leadership roles including Registered Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, Nurse Manager, and most recently, Director of Nursing. Earlier in her career, she also served as a Staff Registered Nurse and CV Service Line Educator at UAB Hospital. Dana holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of South Alabama.
Magnolia Regional Health Center (MRHC), a 200-bed acute care hospital jointly owned by the City of Corinth and Alcorn County, is the largest employer in Alcorn County and has served the community since 1965.
